Susan and I have purchased new boots in preparation for our big trip. Course, we'll be traveling in June so not sure how much we will need these heavy boots. But if we want to scale the mountains of Montana---we are ready!
I found some good hiking boots at Cabela's for $20 with s/h came out to $24. I got them with steel toes so I can wear them when I put up my hurricane shutters!
